Anne Neer's roots are firmly established in Fox Valley, and her volunteer activities are evidence of her strong commitment to serve her community at the state and local level. From 1983 to 1985 Anne served on the Wisconsin State Partnership for Housing Development. Since the mid 70s, Anne has kept current on community, state and world issues as a member of the Woman's Tuesday Club of Neenah/Menasha.
Anne has served as an Alderman for the City of Neenah and a member and then chair of the Neenah Housing Authority. She is an ex-officio board member of the Neenah/Menasha Chamber of Commerce (now Fox Valley), served for several years on the Fox Valley Chamber of Commerce "PROJECT THANK YOU" business expo booth and the Future Neenah Development Committee. The Fox Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau has benefited from Anne's tremendous energy since 1992.
The League of Women Voters of Neenah/Menasha was the focus of much of Anne's time from the late 60s through the late 80s where she served as president and as chair of numerous committees on housing, the environment, and moderated candidate forums.
Anne has a strong interest in the arts. She has supported the Bergstrom/Mahler Museum since 1963, serving on the Museum's Board of Directors from 1978-81 and as Acting Director for General Management. Anne has also been a member of the Appleton Art Center, the Milwaukee Art Center, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
